Dr Sue Bentham
Principal Lecturer: Co-ordinator of Masters Provision in Education
About
Sue has responsibility for leading curriculum design/delivery for the Masters provision in the Education Department.
EXPERIENCE
After graduating with a degree in Psychology, Sue worked for 8 years in residential services for adults with learning disabilities before pursuing a career in teaching. Sue has taught Psychology in FE, Sixth Form and Adult Education settings. After achieving an MSc in Applied Psychology (Learning Disabilities) Sue’s interest focused on the training of support staff. This interest has led to the publication of nine books for teaching assistants and doctoral studies concerning collaborative relationships between teachers and teaching assistants. Sue has worked at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏÂÛ̳ for over eight years on a variety of programmes to include MA (Education), Masters of Teaching and Learning and the Student Associate Scheme.
INTERESTS
Sue has a keen interest in the field of motivation, wellbeing, educational psychology and collaborative relationships between teachers and teaching assistants.
