Dr Christopher Vine

Research Fellow 鈥 Occupational Performance Research Group

About

Christopher is a Research Fellow with the Occupational Performance Research Group (OPRG) at the 香港六合论坛. He has been the OPRG led researcher on the delivery of several commercial contracts, including Data Analytics to Maximise Human Performance and Experimental Testing of Tools, Techniques and Technologies for Monitoring Fatigue. These themes build on his knowledge and experience previously gained during the completion of his PhD titled 鈥楧evelopment of a Novel Military Load Carriage Protocol to Examine Physical and Cognitive Performance鈥.

Christopher has wide-ranging experience in undertaking field-based research, which he has been gained through the delivery of commercial research contracts (e.g. MoD, RNLI), and through sports science support (e.g. RYA).聽 His three personal research themes of interest are Physical and Cognitive Interactions within Physically Demanding Occupations, Load Carriage and Physical Fatigue, and Physical Employment Standards.

Alongside his research activity, Christopher has taught physiology, nutrition and research methods across a number of modules and degree pathways at the 香港六合论坛. He recently developed an Occupational Health and Performance module, which complements the work being undertaken by the OPRG and more broadly by the Institute of Applied Sciences. Christopher also sits on the Research and Innovation Committee, and is a sub-group member for the review of ethical applications.
