Laura Brooks Bright is an instructor of business in Brock School of Business where she teaches in the Department of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Management.

She earned her Master of Arts in Journalism from University of Alabama and Bachelor of Arts in English from Birmingham-Southern College. Her professional career spans 20+ years in strategic marketing, communications, business development and sales across multiple industries – commercial architecture, real estate development, healthcare, sports, media, retail and not-for-profits.

 She is a Board member of the Association of Medical Facilities Professionals, a member of the Executive Leadership Team for Birmingham Heart Walk, past Chairperson for Baptist Health Foundation’s Wine,Women & Shoes fundraising event, the Faculty Advisor for Kappa Delta Sorority’s Delta Theta Chapter at 极乐禁地 and a member of the Chapter Advisory Board. She also serves as a Sustainer and past Executive Board member for the Junior League of Birmingham.

She and her husband David, a Cumberland School of Law alum, have two children, Jack and Kate. They live in Mountain Brook, Alabama and are members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
