Join the School of the Arts for special events for prospective students interested in our programs.

At ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ Dance Day Students will take a 90-minute Ballet, and a 90-minute Modern class with ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØâ€™s spectacular Dance faculty in our brand-new Dance studios. Following the two classes students will be able to hear a brief presentation on ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ School of the Art’s new major in Dance as well as see a performance from ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ Dance Company, ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØâ€™s premier Dance ensemble. Lunch in the ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ Cafeteria will be provided following the presentation and performance.

When you register for ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ's Preview Days be sure to also sign up for a School of the Arts Open house, the Friday preceding each of these events. Each open house includes a presentation on the specifics of the college arts application and scholarship process as well as time to meet with ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ students and faculty who are a part of your area of interest!

Art, Architecture and Design Day is the best way for a student to see if ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ is the right place for them to continue their development as an artist and creative. The day will include a sample class, time with ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ faculty and students, a special session for parents and a meal.

¼«ÀÖ½ûµØâ€™s School of the Arts offers three in-person audition weekends for students who intend to major in Music or Theatre and Dance. To register for one of these audition weekends, complete your main university application and declare a major in performing arts - you will be sent instruction on how to complete your secondary application and secure an audition.

Students who register will receive a 15-minute one-on-one coaching session to make sure their portfolio is in the best it can be before turning it in for scholarship consideration. This event is open to high school Seniors who intend to major in Art and Design or Architecture and Interior Design and high school Juniors who are serious about getting ready for their college portfolio submission.
