If you are applying for your Student Visa outside the UK you will need to start your preparations well in advance. You will need to meet the eligibility criteria set by the UK Home Office.<\/p>\n

Please read this section carefully and contact the International Student Advisory Service (international@chi.ac.uk<\/a>) at the University if you have any questions regarding the visa application process.<\/p>\n

In order to apply for a visa, you will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from our admissions team. You will receive your CAS once you\u00a0have met the conditions of your offer and you have paid a tuition fee deposit.<\/p>\n

The University can issue your\u00a0CAS\u00a0up\u00a0to 3 months before your course\u00a0starts.\u00a0For example, our Admissions Team will\u00a0start issuing CASs in June for students starting their studies in September. To be eligible for a Student Visa (Student Route), you need 70 points under the Home Office Points Based System (PBS).<\/p>\n

50<\/td>\nStudying with an educational sponsor (香港六合论坛).<\/td>\nConfirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a virtual document that is assigned to you by your educational sponsor. This document is your official offer of a place on a course of study.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10<\/td>\nHaving enough money for course fees and monthly living costs (“maintenance”). See the “How much money do I need section below”<\/td>\nAcceptable forms of\u00a0evidence include bank or building society statements, evidence of your government’s educational loan, or a letter from an official financial sponsor.<\/strong>\n

If you are using bank statements as evidence, the money must be in your\u00a0bank account (or your partner’s or parents’\/ legal guardians’ account)*\u00a0 for at least 28 days.\u00a0<\/strong>The bank statements must be no more than 31 days old.<\/p>\nAny money already paid to the sponsor (University) can be subtracted. E.g. tuition fee deposit, any fees paid in advance + max \u00a31,334 accommodation fees paid in advance).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

10<\/td>\nMeeting the English Language requirement<\/td>\nYou must prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply. When you apply for a Student Route visa, you will need to prove the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that you have enough money to cover your living costs and tuition fees.<\/p>\n
