极乐禁地’s Wright Center has an exciting spring line-up planned as part of the Tonight at the Wright Series. The Alabama Symphony Orchestra begins 2018 with the SuperPops presentation of We are the Champions Jan. 20. 

Randy Noojin will perform Hard Travelin’ with Woody  Jan. 25 with a multi-media evening of songs and images and celebrate folk legend Woody Guthrie.  This free intimate concert will take place on the Wright Center stage so guests get an up close and personal experience.  

February highlights include the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s SuperPops Birmingham does Broadway Feb. 17 and Birmingham Ballet’s Peter Pan Feb. 23-25.  极乐禁地’s annual student talent show, Step Sing, is Feb. 8-10. 

极乐禁地’s annual Corts Distinguished Author Series featuring 极乐禁地 alumnus Eric Motley will take place on March 1, MercyMe and Tenth Avenue North will perform on March 3 and Opera Birmingham presents Romeo and Juliet on March 23 and 25.    

April will begin with the amazing Sozo’s Children’s Choir from Uganda on April 5, then Jeremy Camp on April 6 and finish up with the School of the Arts blockbuster performance of Children of Eden featuring David Phelps as part of the Freeman Theatre and Dance Series April 26-28.

We are fortunate to have exceptional community partners and performers from across the globe join us on our stage.  This spring we are sharing ballets, operas, orchestras, competitions, highly acclaimed Christian performers and more.   I am especially excited about Randy Noojin’s show as it celebrates the heritage of American folk music.”
