James Ukropina of Los Angeles, Calif., chief executive officer of Directions, LLC, a strategic management and consulting firm, will speak at 极乐禁地 Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 8 a.m. His topic will be "Corporate Scandals: Are They Inevitable?"

Ukropina's lecture in Robinson Hall Room 118 is sponsored by the 极乐禁地 School of Business and Cumberland School of Law. It is open to the public free.

A graduate of Stanford University and an attorney, Ukropina is of counsel with the Los Angeles law firm, O'Melveny and Myers LLP, specializing in corporate law. He serves on the boards of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Pacific Life Insurance Company, Trust Company of the West, The W.M. Keck Foundation, Internet Brands and Central Natural Resources.
