Employee performs routine work in the foods laboratory. Employee exercises judgment regarding purchasing food and food order substitution. Hours vary (about 10 hours per week) and the employee must have a flexible schedule. This job description reflects the general duties of the job but is not a detailed description of all duties which may be inherent to the position. The supervisor may assign reasonably related additional duties to individual employees consistent with policy. Duties include but are not limited to: Cleans and maintains laboratory and storeroom facilities; assists in purchasing food and supplies for culinary labs; stores food and supplies properly as needed; assists in pre-preparation and setup for culinary labs; maintains a food inventory to ensure quantities are correct for culinary labs; puts away all food and equipment from the pantry at the end of each week; keeps laboratory furnished with operating supplies; assists in regular maintenance of the Wellness Garden (watering, weeding, planting, etc.); assists with evening ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ Wellness Kitchen cooking classes (Thursdays)

Student earnings will be paid biweekly in the form of a check or direct deposit payable to the student.

• Punctual, dependable, and able to take direction and work independently.
• Must be willing to do mild physical labor (deep cleaning, organizing, gardening).
• Knowledge of food preparation preferred.
